A different perspective on life after college

One of the most valuable pieces of content I’ve come across regarding finishing college is by Gary Vee. It provides a different view on the options available outside of the standard system. When you’ve grown and been groomed inside the system it becomes incredibly difficult to see anything other than the conventional path we’re set to follow. It’s hard to pass up on the job offering a seemingly good salary when you’re coming from not having an income. What we fail to realise is how the conventional way of living is voluntary slavery. Usually when people think of slavery they think of the chains and whips. I think the most deadly chains are the invisible fears of not being able to pay rent, buy food etc which keep us tied to our everyday jobs. The whips usually kick in when we try to leave the jobs and we end up homeless and unable to buy food which is painful. The perspective that Gary gives is the first one I saw encouraging following a path that’s not slavery – he talks about doing things you actually like over prioritising a salary or as I like to call it an extended leash. I hope you find value out of it.
